Sandia Casino Buffet Tackles the Holiday Season With an All American Thanksgiving Feast
For the past several years, Sandia Casino Buffet has become known for its annual Thanksgiving Day dinner. This year, it continues to set a standard for all the other casinos. This Thanksgiving is truly a day that is remembered in all of the Strip’s casinos.
All of the casinos are expected to offer a special event as part of their Thanksgiving Day menu. For example, The Sands shows their hospitality through a big dinner for anyone who plans to come to see the fireworks. However, this dinner is mostly limited to those who have been VIPs for years. It is offered exclusively to VIP members and the only way you can get in is by filling out an application.
Another special dinner offering for this year is at Caesars Palace. The buffet there will have favorites from last year like chicken and vegetable as well as turkey and bison, but will also feature new items that weren’t available at the Sands. One of these new items is a special Kalahari Desert dish with goat cheese, jalapeno aioli, and coriander sauce.
The Blackjack and Slot machines at Silverton Casino are expected to be busy on Thanksgiving Day. When word got out that all of the gambling machines would be off, some people were caught off guard. However, one area that was not affected was the Buffet section of the restaurant.
As far as the Holiday Diner is concerned, many people decide to take their place instead of the buffet for one main dish. Of course, anyone in Las Vegas knows that is a good thing as everyone goes there for the comfort food. This year, the Buffet menu at the Diner will have items like oven-baked shrimp, Mac & Cheese, and pulled pork sandwiches.
Some of the best restaurants in Vegas will be offering yummy pepperoni stuffed pizza on Thanksgiving Day. In fact, it will be presented by Papa John’s. Of course, the other winners at the restaurant are the two famous Pizza’s that have been in the industry for years: Papa John’s and Domino’s.
At the Sandia Casino Buffet, they have made a strong statement with their no alcohol for guests on Thanksgiving Day. In fact, the drinks are kept to the minimum and only alcohol-free beer will be served. This means no wine or beer and as you may expect there are other states where all alcohol is banned. For this reason, everyone attending will need to leave early.
The most popular dishes for this year’s buffet menu include Chicken Caesar, Barbeque Pork Chops, and Roasted Turkey. Anyone who isn’t a fan of the turkey will have a hard time finding something to eat on this special holiday. This means no small talk during meal times for many of the guests so no guest will be the center of attention as he or she sits down to a delicious Thanksgiving meal.
